Montreal’s OGGIModels Online Magazine (Landing)

Here at the Montreal OGGIModels Headquarters a few WorldWide 1997-2001 collaborators are celebrating the launch of the first pages of the OGGIModels.com Online Magazine. Our dream is coming true! We have been waiting for this moment for more than 14 years. Now, with more than a half of dozen collaborators worldwide waiting to contribute, we know we will grow fast. OGGIModels.com Online Magazine is a reflection of the lifestyle of today’s youth. Solid features focus on contemporary music, fashion, entertainment, technology and art, and how it influences the attitudes and style of our time. Combining intelligence with beauty, OGGIModels.com Online Magazine is and effective tool to deliver balanced perspective on current issues and a powerful vehicle for promoting. OGGIModels.com Online Magazine is based in English but also, French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese articles will appear in our issues. Visit our website to view our videos, like our pages, become a fan, and follow us in our social groups. Become a fan of OGGIModels Facebook page where we will keep you updated and send you sneak peek invitations. We are in our baby steps, and are moving forward with determination! OGGIModels Project was created and originally launched in 1997: We were on hiatus from 2001 to 2010 and now in 2011/2012 we are back. Beauty ideals based on extreme thinness that are communicated in the public space and the media can affect self-esteem, especially in girls and women. There is a thin line between wanting to be healthy and feel good about yourself, and risking your health trying to live up to unrealistic beauty standards. Today we are inviting you to sign the Charter to advance body image issues in our society. We all have good reasons to do so. We, OGGIModels Network, therefore pledge our support for a vision of a society in which body diversity is valued and in consequence undertake, as part of our respective missions, to:

Promote a diversity of body images, including different heights, proportions, and ages.
Encourage healthy eating and weight control habits.
Discourage excessive weight-control practices and appearance modification.
Refuse to subscribe to esthetical ideals based on extreme thinness.
Remain vigilant and diligent so as to minimize the risks of anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and unhealthy preoccupations with weight.
Act as agents of change so as to promote healthy eating and weight-control practices and realistic body images.
Promote the Québec Charter for a Healthy and Diverse Body Image among our partners, clients and colleagues, while actively respecting and adhering to its principles.
